Ramanagara (Karnataka), February 21 A 21-year-old woman was allegedly murdered by her husband, who smashed her head with a stone, suspecting her infidelity, police said on Saturday.
According to police, the incident took place in Kullegowdanapalya, under the jurisdiction of the Kaggalipura police station.
The deceased has been identified as Sinchana (21). The accused is her husband, Renukaiah, police said.
Renukaiah frequently argued with his wife, suspecting her infidelity.
"On Friday, after consuming alcohol, he had an argument with her. In a fit of rage, he picked up a stone lying near the house and hit her on the head, killing her instantly," police said.
Police said the accused fled the scene immediately after the incident.
"Upon receiving information, Kaggalipura police visited the spot, conducted an investigation, and took the body for post-mortem," police added.
"A case has been registered, and efforts are underway to trace and arrest the accused," police added.
