Union Labour and Employment Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya stated today that the government is fully committed to providing gig and platform workers with a secure, dignified, and improved work environment. He made this statement while addressing the "Powering Inclusive Growth" conference held in New Delhi. He emphasized that in today's digital age, the gig economy is offering new opportunities to millions of young people, women, and persons with disabilities. Mr. Mandaviya further stated that the government's collective priority is to ensure that these workers receive adequate social security, insurance, healthcare facilities, and opportunities for skill development.
