Mangalore Port Receives LPG Shipment Amidst Supply Challenges

Mangalore Port Receives LPG Shipment Amidst Supply Challenges.webp

Amid the ongoing conflict in West Asia, the arrival of LPG shipments has brought relief to the people. An LPG vessel, the Apollo Ocean, arrived at the New Mangalore Port last night around 8 PM, and unloading operations began that same night.

Previously, the cargo ship Shivalik, which was expected to deliver part of its LPG consignment to Mangaluru, instead unloaded its entire cargo at a port in Gujarat. The LPG was subsequently transported to Mangaluru aboard the Apollo Ocean, which carried 16,000 metric tons of fuel.

Port authorities have indicated that two more crude oil tankers are likely to arrive soon, although their schedules have not yet been confirmed.
