
AJP releases election manifesto in Guwahati
The Assam Jatiya Parishad (AJP) held a press conference in Guwahati on Wednesday, where the party released its election manifesto.
The manifesto was unveiled in the presence of party president Lurinjyoti Gogoi and other senior leaders.
According to the document, the party has emphasized granting due recognition to indigenous people and safeguarding tribal identity.
The manifesto further highlights a dedicated policy for youth empowerment and outlines special plans to address unemployment in the state.
The central focus of the contest is Lurinjyoti Gogoi, the president of the AJP and the opposition alliance nominee, who is attempting to unseat two-term Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Chakradhar Gogoi in the Khowang Legislative Assembly Constituency (LAC).
