Jaipur, April 2 Police have recovered the partially burnt body of a man stuffed in a plastic bag in an open plot here, officials said on Thursday.
Police suspect that in an attempt to conceal the deceased's identity, the accused used some flammable chemical to set the body on fire, leaving it partially burnt.
"Preliminary investigation suggests that the man was murdered at some other location, stuffed in a large plastic bag, and then dumped in the open plot near the Niwaru Puliya late at night," police said.
A passerby spotted the body on Thursday morning and informed the police control room, after which a team from the Kardhani police station reached the spot.
"CCTV camera footage from the area is being scanned. Efforts are underway to ascertain the identity of the deceased," police said.
