
April 03, New Delhi: Russia's First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and discussed key areas of bilateral cooperation.
Manturov briefed PM Modi on progress in mutually beneficial sectors, including trade and economic partnership, fertilizers, connectivity, and people-to-people ties.
Prime Minister Modi recalled Russian President Vladimir Putin's visit to India in December 2025 for the 23rd India-Russia Annual Summit. He expressed satisfaction with the ongoing efforts to implement the summit's outcomes, aimed at strengthening the India-Russia Special and Privileged Strategic Partnership.
PM Modi extended warm greetings to President Putin and said he looked forward to continued exchanges. Earlier, Manturov held in-depth talks with External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, focusing on cooperation in trade, industry, energy, fertilizers, connectivity, and mobility. Both sides also explored new opportunities in technology, innovation, and critical minerals.
The leaders also exchanged views on regional and global developments, including the West Asia conflict. The visiting dignitary also met National Security Advisor Ajit Doval.
