Minister for Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Sarbananda Sonowal, met with the crew of the Indian-flagged LPG carriers, Shivalik and Nanda Devi, upon their arrival at the Indian coast. In a social media post, Mr. Sonowal stated that the crew's conduct highlights the importance of vigilance, coordination, and responsibility in ensuring safe passage through the Persian Gulf and the strategically important Strait of Hormuz, amidst changing global conditions. The Minister also affirmed that the nation remains committed to the safety and well-being of its seafarers and to supporting secure, stable, and efficient maritime operations.
