Baripada (Odisha), March 2 One person died and three others were seriously injured when a car in which they were travelling crashed into a roadside tree in Odisha's Mayurbhanj district on Monday morning, police said.
The accident occurred on National Highway-220 near Gidhibas Chhack, within the jurisdiction of the Karajija police station in the district, according to Karanjia sub-divisional police officer Nabakrishna Naik.
According to police, the driver likely fell asleep and lost control, leading to the accident.
He said that one man died on the spot, while three others were injured and were taken to a nearby hospital.
The deceased person has been identified as Saroj Mukshi (30).
