
February 24, New Delhi – In a tragic incident in Jharkhand, all seven people on board an air ambulance en route from Ranchi to Delhi have been confirmed dead, hours after the aircraft crashed in the Chatra district on Monday night.
The Beechcraft C90 aircraft, registered as VT-AJV and operated by Redbird Airways Pvt Ltd, was conducting a medical evacuation mission from Ranchi to Delhi when it crashed in the Chatra district of Jharkhand shortly after takeoff.
According to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, the aircraft lost communication and radar contact with Kolkata at 7:34 pm, approximately 100 nautical miles southeast of Varanasi.
A team from the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau was dispatched following the incident to investigate the cause of the crash.
