New Delhi, March 26 Members of Parliament from the Northeast paid their respects to Ricky Andrew Jones Syngkon, MP from Shillong, who passed away last month.

At a memorial event held in the Parliament complex on Tuesday, members of the North East MPs' Forum spoke extensively about Syngkon's life, work, and dedicated service to the people of Meghalaya during his lifetime.

"I paid my respects at the condolence meeting for the late Dr. Ricky A. J. Syngkon, MP from Shillong, at the Parliament House in New Delhi. Along with his family members and MPs from the Northeast, we remembered his dedicated service to the people of Meghalaya and his unwavering commitment to public life," said Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju.

The MPs who attended the meeting included Tapir Gao, Bhubaneswar Kalita, Wanweiroy Kharluki, S Phangnon Konyak, Richard Vanlalhmangaiha, Dorjee Tshering Lepcha, and Indra Hang Subba.

Among the family members, Syngkon's brother, sister, and niece were present at the event.
