
JAMMU, APRIL 06: The Information Technology Department of Jammu and Kashmir held a review meeting under the chairmanship of its Secretary to evaluate and strengthen the Union Territory’s digital infrastructure, with a focus on cloud services (Meghraj) and cybersecurity.
During the meeting, emphasis was placed on improving the efficiency and reliability of the Meghraj Cloud to ensure smooth operations, business continuity, and high availability of government applications. A streamlined system has been put in place for timely reporting and resolution of service disruptions.
The Secretary also reviewed the progress on the Mini Security Operations Centre (Mini-SOC), which is being developed to enhance cybersecurity monitoring and response capabilities. It was highlighted that the centre will operate under a structured framework with clearly defined roles, responsibilities, and protocols.
Officials informed that steps are underway to deploy advanced security tools and strengthen network integration. Simultaneously, efforts are being made to review IT assets across departments to further improve overall security preparedness.
These initiatives underscore the government's continued commitment to building a secure, resilient, and efficient digital ecosystem for better governance and service delivery across Jammu and Kashmir.
