New Delhi, April 10 The Delhi Development Authority plans to organize a heritage week at the Mehrauli Archaeological Park between April 13 and 18 to commemorate International Day for Monuments and Sites, officials said on Friday.

The week would include activities such as walks, student competitions, exhibitions, and cultural programs to connect people, especially the youth, with Delhi's rich heritage, they said.

A heritage walk will be conducted at Sanjay Van on April 11, ahead of the week, they added.

"To connect the people of Delhi, especially the youth, with the rich heritage of the national capital, the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) is organizing week-long activities for promoting art, culture, and heritage awareness from April 13-18, 2026," an official statement said.

The DDA has partnered with the Archaeological Survey of India for an exhibition on conservation efforts taken in the Mehrauli area, it added.

The larger objective is to inspire the public across age groups to value, experience, and actively participate in preserving the cultural and historical identity of the city, officials added.
