Mumbai, February 21 Actress Sargun Mehta has finally responded to speculation that she is expecting her first child with her husband, Ravi Dubey, after 12 years of marriage.
Breaking her silence on the matter, Sargun revealed that such reports are completely unfounded. She also took a dig at the media, stating that according to reports, she has been pregnant for the last 2 years.
Referring to this as "a very long pregnancy," the 'Qismat' actress posted on her official Instagram account: "Apparently, the news knows about our pregnancy for the last 2 years. According to them, I've been pregnant. That's one very long pregnancy!" (sic)
Sargun further urged everyone to stop spreading such false narratives and advised them to simply confirm the news from her before writing anything.
"Just calm down and stop spreading baseless news. It wouldn't take much time to ask us or our team if the news is genuine before writing about it," she wrote on the photo-sharing app.
Expressing her disappointment in the caption, the 'Saunkan Saunkne' actress shared, "How do you know about a pregnancy that Ravi and I are unaware of? STOP IT.. PLEASE (sic)," followed by a folded hands emoji.
Keeping things light, Ravi commented, "caption," along with a laughing with tears emoji.
This is not the first time that speculation about the couple's pregnancy has been circulating on social media. Over time, rumors about them being ready to become parents have repeatedly surfaced online.
For those who don't know, Sargun and Ravi first met back in 2009 on the set of the popular show "12/24 Karol Bagh," where they played the roles of husband and wife. During the shoot, they became friends, and their friendship gradually turned into love.
After dating for several years, Ravi proposed to Sargun during a live show on national TV.
The couple finally got married in a grand Punjabi wedding on December 7, 2013, and have been setting relationship goals ever since.
