Miami, March 25 Coco Gauff delivered a tenacious comeback performance to secure her first semifinal berth at the Miami Open, defeating Belinda Bencic in a hard-fought three-set match.
The American recovered from a dip in momentum and a break deficit in the deciding set to achieve a 6-3, 1-6, 6-3 victory in a match that lasted two hours and 15 minutes.
Gauff started the match strongly, establishing control early with an aggressive approach. She broke Bencic's serve in the opening stages and demonstrated sharp instincts at the net, winning all eight of her net points in the first set.
