March 16, Milan/Italy – The Holi festival is becoming increasingly popular in Italy. We are in Milan to witness the celebration by one of the largest Indian communities in the country.
The event took place in Parco Chiesa Rossa, one of the city’s main parks, where several hundred people gathered to dance, sing, and enjoy the vibrant colors. Let’s hear greetings from the Consul General of India in Milan, Mr. Lavanya Kumar.
Many Italians attend the festival, which grows bigger each year and attracts people from all over the city. This year, two representatives from the City of Milan were present to convey the authorities’ best wishes.
The celebrations followed tradition, with dance shows, colorful games, and, of course, plenty of delicious Indian food.
Even though we are far from India, Holi continues to be loved by both Indians and Italians, as seen here at Parco Chiesa Rossa in Milan.
