
March 20, New Delhi — Air defense systems in the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait responded to missile attacks early Friday.
In a statement, Kuwait's military said its air defenses were "confronting hostile missile and drone attacks."
The UAE's National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority advised residents to remain in safe locations as air defense systems responded to the threat of a missile attack.
Elsewhere in the Gulf region, Bahrain's interior ministry said air raid sirens were activated, while Saudi Arabia's defense ministry reported intercepting a drone in the country's eastern region.
