April 04, New Delhi – Sadhana Saptah 2026, a nationwide capacity-building initiative under Mission Karmayogi, is being observed from April 2 to 8 to strengthen citizen-centric governance, in line with the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Organized by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), the Capacity Building Commission (CBC), and Karmayogi Bharat, the initiative brings together central ministries, states, union territories, and training institutions to enhance skills and improve public service delivery. It also marks the fifth anniversary of Mission Karmayogi and the foundation day of the Capacity Building Commission.
Mission Karmayogi reflects Prime Minister Modi's emphasis on building a future-ready, transparent, and accountable civil service. The program promotes a shift from rule-based governance to a role-based, competency-driven framework.
A key pillar of the mission is the iGOT Karmayogi digital platform, which enables continuous learning for officials. It has over 1.5 crore registered users and more than 8 crore course completions.
Sadhana Saptah includes participation from over 100 ministries, 36 states and UTs, and 250 training institutions, focusing on Technology, Tradition, and Tangible Outcomes to achieve the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.
