Hailakandi Police seize drugs worth ₹5 crore, Two arrested
Hailakandi, February 23: In Assam, the Hailakandi Police seized narcotic substances worth nearly ₹ 5 crore last night and arrested two inter-state drug traffickers.
The police conducted a search of a suspicious vehicle last night and recovered 1,21,000 Yaba tablets. The drugs were hidden in 12 packets inside a secret compartment of the vehicle.
The arrested traffickers have been identified as Marchi Pillai and Thongzagin Haokip, both from Mizoram. The vehicle used for drug trafficking has also been seized by the police.
