March 10th, New Delhi: Organized under the initiative of the Horticulture Department, the Chapchar Kut Flower Show has been an annual event held in conjunction with the festival since 2019. Speaking at the inauguration, Minister Lalsawivunga called upon the people of Mizoram to maintain peace and harmony, urging them to rise above political discord and any separatist tendencies or conflicts arising from ethnic and tribal divisions. To facilitate local florists and flower enthusiasts, a total of 72 stalls have been set up at the flower show.
The grand celebration of Chapchar Kut, the biggest traditional festival of the Mizo, is scheduled to be held in a magnificent manner on March 13 at Lammual in Aizawl. The mega event will feature a vibrant display of various traditional dances and cultural exhibits, while renowned singers will entertain the gathered crowds. Additionally, stalls will be set up at the venue to showcase and sell local food delicacies, traditional handloom garments, and handicrafts.
