Strict election guidelines issued in Sribhumi
The district administration in Sribhumi, Assam, has issued strict guidelines following the enforcement of the Model Code of Conduct by the Election Commission of India.
Speaking at a press conference on Sunday, District Commissioner Pradeep Kumar Dwivedi stated that the administration has adopted a zero-tolerance policy to ensure transparency in the electoral process.
He stated that candidates must maintain a complete and detailed record of election expenditure in the prescribed format from the date of filing nominations until the declaration of results.
The administration has also set a specific deadline for the removal of political campaign materials, including posters and banners.
