Giridih (Jharkhand), February 22 A First Information Report (FIR) has been filed against Babulal Marandi, the Leader of the Opposition in the state assembly, and 100 other BJP workers in the Giridih district of Jharkhand, for allegedly violating the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) imposed in connection with upcoming civic elections, police said on Sunday.
The FIR was filed by the Flying Surveillance Team (FST) on Saturday night after Marandi was allegedly found holding a meeting with workers in a hotel in the Town police station area, hours after campaigning for the civic polls ended at 5 pm.
