
February 28, New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed his grief over the loss of lives caused by an explosion at a factory in the Kakinada district, Andhra Pradesh.
Extending his heartfelt condolences to the families who lost their loved ones in the tragic incident, the PM also prayed for the swift recovery of those injured.
The PM has announced an ex gratia of Rs. 2 lakh from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF) for the next of kin of each deceased individual. Furthermore, those who sustained injuries in the explosion will be provided with Rs. 50,000.
Prime Minister Modi posted on X:
"I am deeply saddened by the loss of lives in the explosion at a factory in the Kakinada district of Andhra Pradesh. I extend my condolences to those who lost their loved ones. May the injured recover soon.
An ex gratia of Rs. 2 lakh will be given from the PMNRF to the next of kin of each deceased. Injured individuals will also receive Rs. 50,000"
