February 17, New Delhi: India and France signed several agreements in Mumbai on Tuesday. Delivering a joint statement, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that India and France share a special partnership.

The Prime Minister stated that France is one of India’s oldest strategic partners, and that, along with President Emmanuel Macron, the two nations have given the partnership unprecedented depth and energy.

He announced that, based on mutual trust and shared vision, the relationship is being elevated to a Special Global Strategic Partnership. The Prime Minister said the partnership goes beyond strategy and, in times of uncertainty, serves as a pillar of global stability and progress.
