
March 31, New Delhi – On the occasion of Mahavir Jayanti, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Samrat Samprati Museum at Koba Tirth in Gandhinagar.
The museum is dedicated to Jain history and the life of Samrat Samprati, his rule, and the message of non-violence.
Named after the grandson of Ashoka and a revered figure in Jain tradition known for his commitment to non-violence and the propagation of Jainism, the museum showcases the rich historical, cultural, and spiritual legacy of Jainism.
The museum preserves and displays centuries-old rare relics, Jain artifacts, and traditional heritage collections.
These include intricately crafted stone and metal idols, miniature paintings, silver chariots, coins, and ancient manuscripts, all exhibited across seven grand galleries.
PM Modi also met Acharya Shri Padma Sagar Surishwarji Maharaj at Koba in Gandhinagar on the occasion.
PM Modi addressed a gathering and said that this museum holds immense significance amid the global uncertainty.
