Ahead of the inauguration of phase 1 of the Noida International Airport, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a social media post, stated that the airport will promote commerce and connectivity, and alleviate congestion at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi. He emphasized that the Noida airport is one of the key greenfield projects in the country. The Prime Minister further noted that, in addition to passenger services, it will have a robust cargo ecosystem, which will boost the logistics sector.
