Modi Promises Accountability for Trinamool Leaders After Elections.webp

Kolkata, April 9 – Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Thursday that every leader of the Trinamool Congress involved in corruption and exploitation of ordinary people in West Bengal will be identified and held accountable after May 4, the day on which the upcoming state assembly elections will be announced.

"After May 4, anyone involved in corruption, whether a leader, a minister, or anyone else, will be identified and held accountable individually. All of them will be sent to jail. This is my guarantee," the Prime Minister said while addressing a campaign rally at the industrial township of Asansol in West Burdwan district.

This was the second of the three rallies by the Prime Minister on that day.

Earlier, in Asansol, Prime Minister Modi addressed a similar campaign rally at Haldia in East Midnapore. Later, he will be addressing a rally in Suri in Birbhum district.

"The Trinamool Congress has already reached the extreme point of corruption and wrongdoing. I am sure that this time there will be a double-engine government of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in West Bengal. After May 4, West Bengal will usher in a new era of development," the Prime Minister said.

According to PM Modi, the politics of the Trinamool Congress is entirely based on creating an atmosphere of terror, threats, and fear.

"That is why the industrial factories have closed down in West Bengal. What is prevailing in West Bengal now are the factories of anti-social elements, mafias, and illegal infiltrators. But this cannot continue forever. The situation needs to be changed, and the people should be brought out of their reign of terror," the Prime Minister said.

Speaking on the occasion, PM Modi also said that the safety of women in West Bengal is currently at an extreme state, as the ruling Trinamool Congress always protects those involved in crimes against women.

"Women are no longer safe in West Bengal. Criminals are roaming freely. The Trinamool government is on the side of criminals, who are involved in crimes against women. Only the BJP can protect women in West Bengal," he added.
