
Chennai, February 24 Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit the Subrahmanya Swamy temple in Tirupparankundram, Madurai, during his visit to Tamil Nadu on March 1, a senior BJP leader said on Tuesday.
The Prime Minister is scheduled to address an NDA rally in Madurai at Mandela Nagar, following his launch of the election campaign in Maduranthakam, near Chennai, last month.
While in Madurai, he will visit the Tirupparankundram temple, where a controversy has arisen over lighting the Karthigai deepam on the stone pillar.
According to the senior BJP leader, the Prime Minister will visit the temple for worship.
