
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on a two-day visit to Assam, starting today. During his visit, Mr. Modi will launch several development projects worth over ₹47,800 crore in the state. The Prime Minister will arrive in Kokrajhar in the afternoon and will perform Bhoomi Poojan (ground-breaking ceremony), lay foundation stones, and inaugurate projects worth ₹4,570 crore.
The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone for the Assam Mala 3.0 road infrastructure project and six road projects, including four flyovers and two bridges, for the BTC (Bodo Territorial Region) area. On this occasion, the PM will also lay the foundation stone for a railway periodic overhaul workshop in Kokrajhar and inaugurate three new trains: the Kamakhya-Charlapalli Amrit Bharat Express, the Guwahati-New Jalpaiguri Express, and the Narangi-Agartala Express. The PM will also address a large public meeting in Kokrajhar before traveling to Guwahati.
At Guwahati, the PM will perform Bhoomi Poojan, inaugurate and dedicate several development projects worth around ₹19,680 crore to the nation. The Prime Minister will also release the 22nd installment of the PM-KISAN scheme to over 9.3 crore farmers across the country. Tomorrow, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stones and dedicate various projects worth ₹23,550 crore at Silchar.
