Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Silchar in Assam today to lay the foundation stones for various projects worth 23.55 billion rupees. Later in the day, Prime Minister Modi will visit Kolkata, where he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for several development projects worth approximately 18.68 billion rupees. Prime Minister Modi will also address a political rally organized by the BJP. A large number of people have started arriving in Kolkata from all the districts of West Bengal. This marks the beginning of the BJP's political campaign ahead of the upcoming assembly elections in West Bengal. The Election Commission had already held election preparedness meetings in Kolkata a couple of days ago.
