April 06, New Delhi – As the Assam state goes to the polls this week, Prime Minister Narendra Modi held three rallies across the northeastern state on Monday.

During one of the public rallies, Prime Minister Modi linked global developments to domestic concerns, referencing the ongoing conflict in West Asia.

Prime Minister Modi emphasized that his government has protected vulnerable sections of society from the economic impact of international turmoil.

In Assam, Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge campaigned for his party in the Cachar district. Kharge stated that the people of the state will decide which party they want in government.

At Ramnagar in the Borkhola Constituency, he expressed confidence that all seven candidates fielded by the Congress in the district would receive the support of the people.
