The four astronauts selected for NASA’s Artemis II mission have arrived in Florida, entering the final phase of preparations for the first crewed journey to the Moon in over five decades.
According to sources, NASA astronauts Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, and Christina Koch, along with Canadian Space Agency astronaut Jeremy Hansen, disembarked from Northrop T-38 jets that they flew from Houston, Texas, to NASA's Kennedy Space Centre, where they could launch into space as early as April 1 aboard NASA's powerful Space Launch System (SLS) rocket.
During a media interaction, the crew stated that they will be traveling inside an Orion crew capsule designed to carry humans into deep space. The approximately 10-day mission will involve the crew undertaking a high-speed loop around the Moon and returning.
