Latur, March 10 An 18-year-old boy died after an unidentified vehicle crashed into his motorcycle in Latur district, Maharashtra, police said on Tuesday.
The accident occurred in the Borphal village area of Ausa tehsil on Monday night, an official said.
The victim, Nilesh Dattatray Chincholkar, a resident of Kolewadi village, was returning home after finishing work at a stone quarry when a speeding vehicle from the wrong side collided with his motorcycle on the service road, he said.
The impact of the collision left the motorcycle mangled, the official said, adding that locals rushed the injured man to a hospital, but he died en route.
A case has been registered against the driver who absconded with the vehicle, and an investigation is underway, the official said.
