Thiruvananthapuram, March 16 Two brothers were killed after the motorcycle they were riding on crashed into an electric post and fell into a ditch near Kilimanoor on Monday, police said.
The deceased were identified as Abhi (22) and his brother Abhishek (20), residents of Koduvazhannoor near Kilimanoor.
The accident occurred around 6 am near the SN Auditorium in Puthiyakavu on the Kilimanoor-Attingal road.
According to police, the brothers were on their way to a tuition center when the accident occurred.
The injured brothers were taken to a nearby hospital, where they succumbed to their injuries, police added.
Kilimanoor police have registered a case and are investigating the incident.
The bodies will be handed over to the relatives after the post-mortem examination, police said.
