Lucknow, March 16 A 16-year-old boy riding a motorcycle outside a park here died after the vehicle lost control and crashed into a scooter and another vehicle, police said on Monday.
Sudheer Awasthi, Station House Officer of the Gomti Nagar Vistar police station, said the accident took place on Sunday morning outside the Janeshwar Mishra Park.
Awasthi said the motorcyclist was travelling at high speed from Gate 4 towards Gate 5 outside the park when he lost control. The motorcycle first collided with a scooter, and then with another vehicle.
Three people, including the motorcyclist and the drivers of the two other vehicles, were injured in the incident.
All three were taken to a hospital, where the motorcyclist was declared dead.
Police identified the deceased as Naitik (16).
The SHO said the family of the deceased requested not to conduct a post-mortem, and the body was handed over to them on Sunday itself.
