JAMMU, MARCH 02: Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo chaired a review of the MSME Health Clinic initiative, aimed at early risk detection and timely support for businesses across Jammu & Kashmir.

The MSME Health Clinic, launched by the Industries & Commerce Department in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Management Jammu under the RAMP scheme, will digitally assess MSMEs using an analytical tool being developed with BISAG-N. Businesses will undergo digital screening, followed by expert consultation and customized on-site interventions for struggling or distressed units.

The Chief Secretary directed seamless data sharing and the creation of dedicated cells to strengthen implementation, assuring adequate funding and manpower support.

Director, IIM Jammu, B S Sahay said the mission targets nearly 5.5 lakh businesses in the UT, with student participation in outreach efforts.

So far, over 5.85 lakh Udyam records have been received, 2,050 units have been registered on the portal, and assessments have been conducted across 20 districts. Phase 3 will focus on detailed diagnostics and revival plans for stressed MSMEs, building a sustainable early-warning and support system for the sector.
