The Meghalaya State Skills Development Society (MSSDS) in the West Jaiñtia Hills District organized a recruitment drive today at the District Library in Jowai, with the aim of creating employment opportunities for local youth, both domestically and internationally. Skills Development Officer, Lambormi Suchen, stated that the initiative aims to provide pathways for job seekers, enhancing their access to improved employment prospects within and beyond the state.
Participants were required to register before attending counselling sessions designed to assess their interests and career objectives. These sessions were followed by interviews conducted by a panel to evaluate the candidates' suitability. Successful applicants will receive skill training in their chosen fields.
Suchen also announced that similar recruitment drives are scheduled to take place at the Amlarem Block on February 19 at the CIT Skill Centre near the MRB Bank, encouraging interested youth to participate and take advantage of the employment support offered.
