
In the second match of the IPL cricket tournament, held at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai last night, the Mumbai Indians defeated the Kolkata Knight Riders by six wickets. Kolkata Knight Riders batted first and scored a massive total of 220 for 4, thanks to captain Ajinkya Rahane's 67 and Angkrish Raghuvanshi's 51 runs.
In reply, the Mumbai Indians successfully chased the target, losing only four wickets in 19.1 overs, with contributions of 78 from Rohit Sharma and 81 from Ryan Rickelton. Mumbai Indians bowler Shardul Thakur was named the Player of the Match after taking three wickets. The two-month-long tournament will continue until May 31st. Today, Rajasthan Royals will play against Chennai Super Kings at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati at 7:30 PM.
