March 11, New Delhi — President Droupadi Murmu conferred national recognition to community leaders under the Jal Jeevan Mission at the Jal Jeevan Mahotsav 2026, held at Vigyan Bhawan in the national capital today.
Minister of Jal Shakti C.R. Patil, MoS V. Somanna, and Raj Bhushan Choudhary also attended the event.
Addressing the gathering, President Murmu highlighted the importance of water in India’s cultural and spiritual history.
She also praised the community-based management under the Jal Jeevan Mission, which is ensuring clean and safe water facilities for villagers at the grassroots level.
