
February 26, New Delhi – President Droupadi Murmu is on an official visit to Maharashtra, Jharkhand, and Rajasthan from February 24 to 27.
On Thursday, the President visited the Manipal Tata Medical College in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, where she planted a sapling and inaugurated the college's new academic building. President Droupadi Murmu also interacted with students and faculty during her visit.
Earlier in the day, the President attended the Bhoomi Pujan ceremony of the 'Sri Jagannath' Temple in Jamshedpur. Speaking at the event, President Murmu said that the new Jagannath temple will promote spirituality and unity, and also recalled the unmatched devotion seen during the Rath Yatra.
