The accused, in his 40s, was intercepted by a police team while checking on Datiyana Road late Thursday night, they said.
Police Circle Officer Ravishankar said that, acting on a complaint lodged by the victims' mother, police had registered a case against the accused on Thursday under Sections 64 (rape) and 65 (rape with minor) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and relevant provisions of the POCSO Act.
The minor girls have been sent for medical examination, the officer said.

During the exchange of fire, the accused sustained bullet injuries and was subsequently overpowered and taken into custody. He has been admitted to a hospital, the officer said.
Police recovered a country-made pistol and cartridges from his possession.
The officer added that the accused had earlier been booked in 2023 under Sections 376 (rape) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the erstwhile IPC for allegedly raping his daughter.
Further investigation is underway, police said.
