March 12, Kohima: The Nagaland Olympic Association has postponed the 2026 Nagaland Olympic & Paralympic Games, originally scheduled from April 7th to 18th, until further notice.
The decision was made to encourage greater participation, as many athletes are students whose exam and academic commitments conflict with the original dates.
The proposed schedule also coincided with pre-planned sporting events organized by various state and national sports bodies.
The association stated that the postponement will give districts, associations, and athletes more time to prepare, and new dates will be announced soon.
