March 4, Kohima: In cricket, Nagaland secured a 15-run victory over Mizoram in their opening Women's Under-23 One Day Trophy plate match in Chandigarh yesterday.
Batting first, Nagaland posted 212 runs, with Vipeni leading the way with a brilliant 82. In reply, Mizoram were dismissed for 197.
Vipeni also shone with the ball, taking 5 wickets for a comprehensive performance.
Nagaland will face Arunachal Pradesh in their next match tomorrow.
