Nagpur, March 23 The Congress and the Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi held a protest in Nagpur on Monday, demanding clarification from the Narendra Modi government regarding the Epstein Files.
They also criticized the Centre's stance on the West Asia crisis. The protest march started from Samvidhan Square to the RSS headquarters here, but the participants stopped at Morris College Square, where they raised slogans against the Modi government, the BJP, and the Sangh Parivar.
The protest is aimed at questioning the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh's stance on the Epstein Files and Modi's involvement in it, Maharashtra Congress chief Harshwardhan Sapkal said while addressing the gathering.
"What is there in the Epstein Files that the Prime Minister is not addressing the issue, but is instead following the US line in the war against Iran? The RSS should demand Modi's resignation," Sapkal added.
VBA chief Ambedkar said that the organizers had proposed to the RSS that the protest would reach its headquarters to seek a discussion with the organization on the Indo-US trade deal and other Centre policies that were allegedly harming the country's farmers and its public sector.
"The banking system is deteriorating, the rupee is depreciating, and the country is becoming a slave to America," Ambedkar alleged.
"While RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat speaks of nationalism, is it nationalism when Modi is following US President Donald Trump's line?" he questioned.
The RSS should take a stand in the interest of the country and ask why Modi is following Trump, Ambedkar asserted.
