
Nagpur, March 27 Nagpur will host the All India Police Duty Meet 2025-26 from March 29 to April 3, an official said on Friday.
Addressing a press conference, Maharashtra CID Additional General of Police Sunil Ramanand, also the secretary of the organizing committee, said the All India Police Duty Meet is very important for improving the professional skills of personnel in the force.
The competitions are designed to test both the practical and technical abilities of the force, with events related to computer awareness, dog squad, videography, anti-sabotage checks, scientific aids to investigation as well as photography, he added.
"A total of 29 teams from states, Union Territories, and central police organizations will participate. A total of 935 personnel will take part in the competitions, along with 152 police dog squads. The events will be held at the Police Training Centre, SRPF grounds, and Shivaji Stadium. Sixty-three medals and 17 trophies will be awarded," Ramanand informed.
The meet will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, while the closing ceremony will be attended by Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Nityanand Rai, Nagpur police commissioner Ravinder Kumar Singal said.
