
Nanded, April 1 The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms in the Nanded district for four days, starting Wednesday.
The district, located in the Marathwada region, is also likely to experience lightning strikes and strong winds with speeds ranging between 40 and 50 kmph in isolated areas.
The district administration has urged all concerned departments and citizens to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions.
Residents are advised to avoid going outdoors during thunderstorms. According to an advisory, people should seek shelter inside a safe building during lightning and avoid standing on balconies, terraces, or in open spaces around the house.
The administration has appealed to citizens to strictly follow safety guidelines to prevent any unfortunate incidents.
