Thane, March 9 A man was arrested in Bhiwandi, in the Thane district, for allegedly being involved in the suicide of a 16-year-old girl, a police official said on Monday.
The body of the schoolgirl was found three days after she went missing, according to senior inspector Vijay Kabdane of the Narpoli police station.
"The body showed signs of injury. Based on her phone call records and chat history, we arrested a 20-year-old man under sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for aiding in her suicide. Further investigation is ongoing," Kabdane said.
