
Minister Jual Oram of the Tribal Affairs Ministry stated today that the government is implementing programs focused on eliminating diseases that affect tribal areas. Addressing the 23rd foundation day of the National Commission for Scheduled Tribes in New Delhi, Mr. Oram said that the commission is effectively working to protect the rights of the tribal community. The Minister emphasized that the commission continuously assists tribal people by addressing issues such as land disputes. The Minister reiterated the government's commitment to provide all necessary support to the Commission.
The ceremony was also attended by Minister of State for Tribal Affairs Durgadas Uikey and Chairperson of the National Commission for the Scheduled Tribes Antar Singh Arya. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Uikey said that the commission has contributed to reducing cases of oppression against tribal people.
