On the occasion of National Maritime Day, Union Minister for Ports, Shipping and Waterways Sarbananda Sonowal stated that India is on track to become one of the top 5 global maritime powers. In a social media post, Mr. Sonowal highlighted the rapid transformation of India's maritime sector. He also commended the Delhi chapter of the National Maritime Day Celebration Committee and the DG Shipping for organizing a vibrant Inter-MTI Sports Meet and vital blood donation drives to mark the 63rd National Maritime Day. The Minister added that the dedication of the cadets reflects the true spirit of 'Maritime India - Empowering Progress'.
