
Chintan Shivir on Quality Standards held in Guwahati
Guwahati, February 26: A day-long Chintan Shivir, focusing on quality standards as the foundation of Viksit Bharat 2047, was held at a hotel in Guwahati today.
The event was organized by the National Test House under the Department of Consumer Affairs, Government of India, in collaboration with the Bureau of Indian Standards and the Legal Metrology Department.
Delivering the keynote address, Nidhi Khare, Secretary, Department of Consumer Affairs, highlighted the importance of quality testing in ensuring public safety and its direct link with economic development.
The program also featured discussions on product testing, consumer protection, and standardization. Senior officials including Additional Secretary Bharat Khera, Assam Additional Chief Secretary Biswaranjan Samal, and Director General of BIS Sanjay Garg were present at the event.
