NATO Weighs Role in Strait of Hormuz Amid U.S. Concerns.webp

April 10, New Delhi – NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte stated that the military alliance would be willing to participate in a potential mission through the Strait of Hormuz if it were able to do so.

During a speech in Washington, Mark Rutte said that member countries were taking all the steps that U.S. President Donald Trump had requested to strengthen the military alliance, even though some were initially a bit slow in providing support to the United States amid its conflict with Iran.

Mark Rutte's comments came after meeting with President Trump on Wednesday. He has informed some capitals that Trump wants concrete commitments within the next few days for assistance in securing the Strait of Hormuz.
